Founded in 1989, THE LORD CARES (TLC) is a local ministry that provides food and assistance to those who need it in Darlington, South Carolina. We are a growing network of congregations working together to help persons meet emergency needs not covered by other community resources.
Our Mission
The mission of THE LORD CARES is to provide for the body and spirit of those in need regardless of beliefs or background. To meet their needs as our Lord would---with compassion, love, and understanding.
Our Vision
We envision a community of caring neighbors where no one in need has to go without physical and spiritual nourishment. We seek to create a better Darlington where the least fortunate among us do not have to choose between paying for utilities and food.
